Cross-Training and Professional Development

When working with families in recovery, numerous different systems are often in place and each is its own specialty with a unique means of training practitioners. It is important that each member of a family’s treatment team possess a good understanding of how each of the systems work. This is where cross-training can help!  We have identified some local, regional, and national resources for cross-training for issues related to substance abuse, mental health and child welfare. The Family Recovery Project also hosts several cross-training opportunities each year, including conferences, workshops, and Recovery Fairs.
